As someone who knows more or less nothing about VR sets and VRChat, the Quest 2 and Quest 3, are they *only* stand-alone, or can they be used with ones PC? And, if only stand-alone, what would be a recommended reasonably priced PC VR setup?

in my experience in Vrchat since 2020, all the kids i see NOW in public worlds are always saying R slurs, being incredibly noisy and disrespectful xD. I could be just chilling talking with people in other language and recieve the "taco taco sombrero" comments from a random brat with a lot of free time and no supervision whatsoever...

The worst are the people that just enters the world and stay there 24/7 looking themselfs in the mirror and dont interact with people

I'm not a furry myself but I know a lot of people who are furries and people from the furry fandom are often really cool people to hangout with. furry bullying is something I've experienced thanks to just randomly wearing bunny ears sometimes, I somehow made a kid lose their mind, it was bizarre.

everything you mentioned ive seen from people using all kinds of headsets not just quest users. Also i use a Quest 2 but i run it with a link cable using my OP computer lol only thing i actually use on the Quest 2 hardware is Bigscreen for 3 movies and to watch with other people. So im far "superior" to you I EXIST IN BOTH WORLDS MUHAHAHA joking though its the Kids using the Quests that ruin the experience for others and i usually just auto block any one that sounds like a kid anyway.

tbh I am a kid and I do play vr chat also im younger than 18 but I ust go in private servers and run around for me and I play private servers bc first my parents dont want me talking with strangers 2 i cant move my arms or Idk how 2 bc Im on laptop and 3 I dont wanna annoy people or get in there ways tbh and ngl its pretty fun even tho Im In private servers its still really fun also I might go in a public server in mabey a hour bc I wanna see if I can make freinds with any other kids on vrchat even tho I pr wont still might aswelll try

I saw someone sleeping in a sleeping room and thought wtf. But I don't have a headset so idk anything about the immense reality. I'm sure I d sleep too if I was using the headset. Those rooms are amazingly therapeutic.

That "queer triggered" guy deserved to get banned. The "I hate furries" guy is part of a, in my opinion, problematic group in the fandom. These people go on and on about how terrible the fandom is, particularly every time something controversial happens that put furries in the spotlight. And despite this they continue to be a part of the fandom. They have very little loyalty and may even add to problems. They call every kind of upset "snowflake" or "Offended" even when it's legit. A number of them may even be JUST into the fandom for the parties and sex.

It's the way that people treat kids in Vrchat that's making me really consider just leaving it for good, even though it's fun. I'm not a socially anxious person irl, I can go up to a random person and have a really nice conversation, but boy, is that not the case in Vrchat. This is because people seem to change their demeanor when around me, even from me just offering a simple hello. I might be confident one day (which is rare) and go up to a group of people having fun, but when i say something, it feels like I'm a pest to them and that they're just trying to not include me so that i go away. It works. Now, I know what some might say: "Well, you might just be annoying." I dont want to be arrogant or self-righteous, but im not unless i try. All of my friends have said that im not an annoying person and that im really chill, and i never try to deliberately get into trouble or annoy somebody unless its my friend, so I really dont know what these peoples' problems are. Like i said, i experience injustice daily as a kid on Vrchat, and i think that it is really unfair that i am unable to make friends on a game that is entirely based on socialization. Until then, I'll just have to hope that my voice deepens soon. Puberty, do me justice...
